COMMUNITY-BASED MENTAL HEALTH EDUCATION AND AWARENESS IN EASTERN WASHINGTON

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The goal of this project is to increase mental health literacy, resources, screening and referrals for psychosis and other mental health concerns experienced by youth by training community members and service providers. This project is supported by a community advisory board that will develop and host public mental health education events to address stigma, mental health equity, and community concerns. Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

RISK ENVIRONMENTS OF PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR FORMERLY INCARCERATED PEOPLE WITH SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESSES

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

A mixed methods study examining how individual, interpersonal, and environmental factors situated in the risk environments of Permanent Supportive Housing interact with public and private spaces to inform reentry wellbeing. The study is using co-design methods to develop a reentry intervention for formerly incarcerated people with SMI in supportive housing.  Funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.

WHOLE-PERSON HEALTH HOME EVALUATION

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Four-year evaluation of the Whole-Person Health Home, a SAMHSA-funded Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), which provides integrated behavioral health care to teens, adults, and veterans experiencing homelessness, at high-risk of becoming homeless, and meeting the federal definition of chronically homeless in Spokane County, Washington. Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
